Benefits

Dealing with energy issues
The need for more renewable energy sources is greater than ever. Climate change, increasing power prices and fears over security of supply have put the issue of energy high in everyone’s mind. National and regional authorities acknowledge that renewable energy is an important solution to meet the challenges of our modern lifestyle and its high energy demands.

Communities
To ensure that the benefits of the project are not only felt on a national, but also on a local level, Infinergy would establish a Community Benefit Fund which would provide financial support to local projects. A proportion of the revenue from the wind farm will be donated to a locally managed trust fund. This is subject to planning consent for the project.

Typically £2,000 per installed megawatt is paid annually into the fund.

We would like to hear from anyone who would like to become actively involved in the Community Benefit Fund Committee. Infinergy will contact you when discussions about the Community Benefit Fund are due to start.
